[su_dropcap style=”flat” size=”5″]T[/su_dropcap]he Head of Misungwi District in the Mwanza region, Hon. Johari Samizi, has conveyed gratitude to the Sixth Phase Government, led by Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania. A sum of over 39 billion shillings has been allocated to the district for the implementation of various development projects over a three-year period. The aforementioned projects have encompassed a diverse range of sectors, including health, education, water, and numerous others.
Acknowledgment of Government Support
In his capacity as Head of Misungwi District, Hon. Samizi conveyed his gratitude on behalf of the region’s leadership, as represented by Hon. Said Mtanda. This occurred during a reception held in honour of the Minister of Finance, Hon. Mwigulu Nchemba, PhD (Mb), who commenced a seven-day working visit to the Mwanza region. During the course of this visit, the Minister is scheduled to undertake a series of inspections, foundation stone laying ceremonies and project launches in all districts within the region.
Inspection of the Tanzania College of Accountancy
The Minister of Finance, Hon. Mwigulu Nchemba, PhD (Mb), undertook an inspection of the construction of the Tanzania College of Accountancy (TIA), Mwanza Campus. The project is being undertaken by the government through the Ministry of Finance at a cost of 7.8 billion shillings. Upon completion, the campus will have the capacity to accommodate more than 5,000 students simultaneously. Furthermore, the Minister has indicated that the Sixth Phase Government is committed to allocating financial resources to various development sectors, including education.
Financial Support for College Infrastructure Development
In a recent interview, the Principal of the College, Professor William Pallangyo, delineated the financial assistance provided by the Government through the Ministry of Finance over the past three years. The financial support, amounting to 58.1 billion shillings, has been allocated for the implementation of various projects aimed at enhancing the learning and teaching infrastructure across the College’s eight campuses.
