Minister Mchengerwa made this statement during a visit to the Malinyi District Council, during which he met with some of the council’s staff and citizens. Additionally, he engaged in discourse with members of the public during his visit.

He observed the manner in which the employees of the Malinyi District Hospital conduct themselves at work. He observed that they work with great dedication, devoting themselves to the service of Tanzanians. He encouraged these employees and others in similar positions in other locations not to be discouraged by delays in their entitlements. He asserted that they should be provided in a timely manner.

Furthermore, he expressed his desire to hear no more about employees who have not been promoted. It is unclear whether he has been denied vacation pay and other benefits. It is of the utmost importance that all marginal employees are promoted in a timely manner. This responsibility extends to all Directors in the country. He underscored the significance of the work performed by employees in serving Tanzanians, emphasizing its pivotal role in the nation’s future. President Suluhu Samia Hassan serves as an exemplar of the proposition that marginal citizens can receive superior services than those in urban areas. It is my hope that you will be duly compensated for your endeavours.

It is of the utmost importance that employees in dangerous environments are not subjected to injury or harm due to a lack of their rights. It is the responsibility of directors to ensure that employees in such areas are granted their rights in a timely manner, allowing them to perform their duties without hindrance. This was the unambiguous message conveyed by Mchengerwa.
