[su_dropcap style=”flat” size=”5″]T[/su_dropcap]he Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Philip Mpango, participated in the Women’s Clean Energy Cooking Conference held at the Jakaya Kikwete Conference Hall in the Dodoma region.
During the conference, he inspected a stove that uses alternative charcoal while visiting the display booths.
During his visit to the Women’s Clean Energy Cooking Conference at the Jakaya Kikwete Conference Hall in Dodoma region, Hon. Dr. Philip Mpango, Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, inspected stoves that use gas and electricity.
Dr. Philip Mpango, Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, instructed the Rural Energy Agency (REA) to ensure that various institutions in the country own the machine that produces alternative charcoal.
The Conference on Providing Capital and Tools for Clean Energy for Cooking was held at the Jakaya Kikwete Convention Centre (JKCC), Dodoma Region on 9 March 2024. Participants included women from various ministries, institutions, companies and entrepreneurs.
The conference’s official guest was the Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Philip Mpango. Meanwhile, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, spoke to women over the phone and promised them access to clean energy for cooking, based on the safety of forests and the environment in general.
The conference was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Hon. Dr. Doto Biteko (Mb), Deputy Minister of Energy Hon. Judith Kapinga, Deputy Secretary General Ministry of Energy Mr. James Mataragio, Honorable Ministers and Members of Parliament, Heads of Districts, and Heads of Regions. The purpose of the conference was to address the issue of unclean cooking energy in the country.
During the Women’s Conference on Clean Cooking Energy held at the Jakaya Kikwete Conference Hall in Dodoma region on 09 March 2024, the Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Philip Mpango, handed over equipment for clean cooking energy to representatives of women from various regions in the country. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Hon. Dr. Dotto Biteko, was also present on the right.
