Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi led a solemn recitation of Dua and prayers for the late Sheikh Abeid Amani Karume, the first President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, at the Central Office of CCM Kisiwandui, Zanzibar.
On the 52nd anniversary of his death on 7 April 2024, the Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Philip Mpango, along with various leaders and the family of the late Sheikh Abeid Amani Karume, gathered to pay their respects at his tomb at the Central Office of the Revolutionary Party.
