The Minister of Finance, Hon. Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba (Mb), leading a session that discussed the development of the modern high-speed train (SGR) project and the implementation of road infrastructure construction projects in this country.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Construction, Hon. Makame Mbarawa, Secretary General Ministry of Finance, Dr. Natu El-maamry Mwamba, Secretary General Ministry of Construction, Engineer Aisha Salim Amour, Secretary General Ministry of Transport, Mr. Gabriel Migire, Deputy Secretary General Ministry of Finance, Mr. Elijah Mwandumbya and other senior leaders of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Transport. The working session was held at the Small Treasury Offices in Dar es Salaam.
Minister of Finance, Hon. Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba (Mb), chairing the session to discuss the information on the implementation of the Government’s internal revenue collection for the year 2023/24, where the Government expects to collect internal tax, 26.72 trillion shillings, on the part of Tanzania Mainland and 520.64 billion shillings on the part of Zanzibar, where in order to facilitate the more efficient collection of these revenues, the Government has made various improvements on the issues of Government revenue collection.
The meeting involved the Minister of State, Office of the President, Finance and Planning-Zanzibar, Hon. Dr. Saada Salum Mkuya, Minister of TAMISEMI, Hon. Angela Kairuki, Deputy Minister of Finance Hon. Hamad Hassan Chande, Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance and Chief Payer of the Government Dr. Natu El-maamry Mwamba, Secretary General, Office of the President, Finance and Planning-Zanzibar, Dr. Juma Malik Akil, General Secretary-TAMISEMI, Mr. Adolf Ndunguru, Deputy Secretary General Ministry of Finance, Mr. Elijah Mwandumbya, Deputy Secretary General Ministry of Lands, Housing and Housing Development, Mrs. Lucy Kabyemera Deputy Secretary General Office of the President, Finance and Planning, Zanzibar, Mr. Aboud Hassan Mwinyi, Commissioner of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), Mr. Alphayo Kidata, Commissioner of the Zanzibar Revenue Authority (ZRA), Mr. Yusuph Mwenda, the meeting was held in the Small Treasury Offices in Dar es Salaam.
