The staff of the Ministry of Defence and the Army for Nation Building have today, 8 March 2024, joined hands with all the women of the world to celebrate the International Women’s Day. The celebration took place at Chinangali II Primary School in Chamwino District in Dodoma Region, the country’s capital.

The head of the Women’s Police Network (TPF-NET) North Pemba Region, Deputy Insp. Amina Haji Sipe, with members of the network at the Konde football pitch, Micheweni District, North Pemba Region, during the International Women’s Day celebrations.

The women’s police network TPF NET South Pemba Region has urged students of Kengeja Vocational Secondary School, South Pemba Regional District to refuse to commit or be subjected to humiliating acts that have the effect of removing the status and value of the person who is subjected to such acts.

This was said during the education against acts of humiliation and violence against women and children by Assistant Police Inspector Habiba Ali Said, head of the Gender and Children Desk, who is also the head of the Women’s Police Network in South Pemba Region. “Men have many ways of deceiving a woman to make her want what they want, to avoid them and to reject them,” said Inspector Habiba.

She said to commemorate International Women’s Day, the Women’s Police Network TPF NET South Pemba Region has seen the need to visit Kengeja Secondary School students and give them this education so that they can recognise the whole concept of the effects of humiliation so that they can avoid being subjected to it and instead focus more on studying for the good interest of themselves and their nation.

In addition, the head of the women’s police network TPF NET South Pemba Region said that the network, apart from other police work, is directly involved in solving women’s challenges as well as in the fight against cases of humiliation. In addition to providing training, the Network presented the students with feminine towels.

The Women Police Network (TPF-Net) Morogoro Region has partnered with other cadre women in the region to organise a Peace Walk to celebrate International Women’s Day which will was held in Morogoro Region at K-Ndege Primary School located in Morogoro Municipality.

The women from the President’s office, regional administrations and local governments under the leadership of the Director of Administration Ms Emma Lyimo at the International Women’s Day celebration in Dodoma at Chawino grounds.

The theme was “INVESTING IN WOMEN TO FOCUS NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL WELFARE”.

The Women’s Police Network (TPF Net) Coastal Region has participated in celebrating International Women’s Day.

The celebration was hosted by the Coastal Regional Commissioner Hon. Abubakari Kunenge represented by the Mkuranga District Commissioner Hon. Khadija Nasri as the official guest at Mtongani Primary School compound in Kibaha District.

The celebration of the International Women’s Day was accompanied by a training session with various experts: Dr Assumpter Mshama and Mrs Prudence Masako, who are also directors of TADB Bank. The women employees were given time to learn about various work, life and leadership issues.

The University of Dar es Salaam has stated that it will continue to invest and support women’s empowerment in various fields to promote social development.

Female employees of the Internet Government Authority (e-GA), Dar es Salaam Office have participated in celebrating International Women’s Day at Mjimwema Kiganboni Stadium in Dar es Salaam. The celebration was held under the theme “Invest in Women to Accelerate National Development and Social Welfare” in Chamwino District, Dodoma Region.

The women’s police network in Urambo district, Tabora region, in the run-up to the celebration of International Women’s Day, participated in a cleaning exercise with other women in the district, where they had the opportunity to do a little exercise after the cleaning to show their willingness to be responsible every day.
