The Standing Committee of the Regional Governing Parliament and Local Governments (TAMISEMI) inspected the progress of the RHM-Olturumet Hospital road construction project. The 480-meter section is being built at the asphalt level.

The members were satisfied with the implementation steps of the project and applauded them. However, they instructed the Secretary General of TAMISEMI, who is responsible for infrastructure, to investigate the possibility of completing the construction of the entire road from Radio Habari Maalum (RHM) to the Arusha Olturumet District Hospital. This road is important as it is used by citizens to access health services.

TAMISEMIHon. Justine Nyamoga, the Vice Chairman of the Committee and Member of Parliament for Kilolo State, stated that having a budget plan to complete the road is beneficial for the people to access medical services at the hospital.

Congratulations on this project. Although it is not yet complete, it demonstrates high-quality standards. I urge TAMISEMI to develop a plan to finish the remaining half-kilometer to ensure reliable infrastructure for accessing service centers, particularly health services. Hon. Nyamoga emphasized this.

Hon. Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi, Member of Parliament and Committee Member for Kilosa, emphasised the importance of completing construction projects in their entirety, particularly the roads leading to service areas, rather than building them in stages.

The suggestion is to focus on completing the road in one area before moving on to another, rather than building it in small pieces in different areas. This approach adds to the charm of the area in question.

The Manager of TARURA, Arusha region, Engineer, initially presents the project information. Laynas Sanya stated that the 480-metre section is being constructed with hard asphalt at a cost of 475 million shillings, having reached 30% completion.
