The Vice Chairman of CCM Zanzibar and President of Zanzibar who is the Chairman of the Revolutionary Council Hon. Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi has said that the family of the late Mzee Ali Hassan Mwinyi has been very relieved since he passed away with prayers being held in different places to pray for him.
He expressed gratitude for the duas that were read to pray for the late Ali Hassan Mwinyi.
President Mwinyi said this while reciting the Arubaini prayer for the life of Ali Hassan Mwinyi along with the Iftar held at Mnazi Mmoja Palace premises on: 07 April 2024.
On the other hand, President Mwinyi said that today is a special day, in the morning it was decided to pray for the late Sheikh Abeid Amani Karume and in the evening for the late Ali Hassan Mwinyi.
The prayer was attended by various government leaders, defence and security agencies, religious leaders, political parties and citizens.
