Today, I had the honour of representing the President, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, in the final of the Quran Recitation competition organised by the Aisha Sururu Foundation, under its Chairperson, Hajjat Aisha Sururu in Tanga.
On behalf of the President, I congratulated the organisers for encouraging our youth to know and preserve the Holy Qur’an, as well as to be pious and do good.
I urge my fellow parents and guardians to ensure that our children have sufficient time to study Religious Education, including the Quran and the stories of our Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). This will enable them to lead a life that is pleasing to Allah and become good servants.
The organizers/sponsors have awarded the first prize of 30 volumes of the Qur’an to a man and a woman, each receiving a house and 3 million shillings in cash. We would like to express our gratitude to the President for supporting these young people by providing 5 million shs to the female winner and a man to store 30 volumes of the Qur’an. This generous contribution is sure to encourage many more young people to participate in next year’s competition.
Congratulations to all the winners of this competition, including those who won volume 3, volume 5, volume 10, volume 20, and volume 30. We would also like to extend our congratulations to all 89 young people who made it to the final. All of these are successful because many Muslims have not preserved even one chapter, let alone a volume.
May Allah bless you.
