PRESIDENT SAMIA OFFERS HELICOPTER TO MINISTERS TO FIND INFRASTRUCTURE SOLUTIONS FOR LIWALE – LINDI ROAD.
The President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Commander-in-Chief, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan has given a helicopter to the Minister of Works, Hon. Innocent Bashungwa and the Deputy Minister of the President’s Office – TAMISEMI, Hon. Deo Ndejembi to come to Liwale District to find solutions to the challenges of road infrastructure and bridges due to heavy rains that have caused the closure of roads.
The ministers arrived in Liwale District in Lindi Region on the 5th of March accompanied by the Lindi Regional Commissioner, Zainab Telack and experts from the Roads Agency (TANROADS) and the Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) to find solutions to the infrastructure challenge. Roads and bridges that connect the district to other parts of the country are filled with water.
