Arusha College of Accountancy

In a notable advancement towards the enhancement of educational infrastructure in Tanzania, the Minister of Finance, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba, has inaugurated the initial phase of the Babati Campus construction at the Arusha College of Accountancy. This ambitious project, which is to be developed in three phases, represents a pivotal moment in the expansion of the college’s capabilities and its commitment to providing high-quality education.

A Vision for Growth and Innovation

The initial phase of this transformative project encompasses the construction of a departmental edifice, dormitories, and a cafeteria. With an estimated cost of 10 billion shillings, this phase serves as an exemplar of strategic financial planning and collaboration. It is noteworthy that the College has generated 6 billion shillings of the required funding from its own revenue stream, which serves to illustrate both its financial acumen and its commitment to self-sufficiency. The remaining 4 billion shillings have been provided by the government, specifically the Ministry of Finance, which owns the college. This partnership serves to illustrate the government’s commitment to the advancement of education.

  • Classrooms

  • Lecture halls

  • Seminar rooms

  • Computer laboratories

  • Libraries

  • Meeting rooms

  • Staff offices

Expanding Educational Horizons: The New College of Accountancy Arusha (IAA) Babati Branch

A notable advance has been made in the development of educational infrastructure and accessibility with the laying of the foundation stone for the new College of Accountancy Arusha (IAA) Babati Branch in the Manyara region. A Vision for the Future: Infrastructure and Capacity

Upon completion, the new facilities will be capable of accommodating a substantial number of students and staff, with impressive capacities designed to meet this objective. The hostels will be able to accommodate up to 1,456 students simultaneously, thereby ensuring that a significant proportion of the student population will have access to on-campus living arrangements. This development is of great importance in fostering an optimal learning environment, where students can fully immerse themselves in their academic pursuits without the distractions of commuting or inadequate housing.

In addition to the hostels, the cafeteria will be furnished with the capacity to serve 200 individuals at any given time. This facility is not merely a venue for sustenance; it is also a nexus of social interaction and repose, offering students a venue for relaxation and engagement with their peers beyond the confines of the classroom. The cafeteria’s capacity has been designed with due consideration of the needs of the student body, with the objective of ensuring efficient and accommodating dining services.

A Collaborative Effort: Leaders and Stakeholders Unite

The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by a number of notable leaders and stakeholders, which served to illustrate the collaborative effort that has driven this project forward. Among the distinguished guests was the Regional Head of Manyara, Hon. Queen Sendiga, whose attendance served to underscore the regional government’s support and commitment to educational advancement.
