TANZANIA GETS SECOND NEW BOEING B737-9 MAX

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa represented President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the reception of the new Boeing 737-9 Max aircraft at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Dar es Salaam, 26 March 2024.

The Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Kassim Majaliwa, leading the people to receive the new Boeing B737-9 Max aircraft which arrived at Julius Nyerere International Airport Terminal 1 at about 8:00 pm today, 26 March 2024.

The Tanzania Ambassador in the USA, Dr Elsie Sia Kanza attended the handover of the Boeing 737-9 max government aircraft at the Boeing offices in Seattle – Georgetown in the United States.

The Boeing 737-9 max is the second aircraft of this type purchased by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. The airplane is expected to provide a major boost to economic development, particularly in passenger transport to and from the African continent.
