The staff of the Ministry of Defence and the Army for Nation Building have today, 8 March 2024, joined hands with all the women of the world to celebrate the International Women’s Day. The celebration took place at Chinangali II Primary School in Chamwino District in Dodoma Region, the country’s capital.

International Women's DayThe women’s police network TPF NET South Pemba Region has urged students of Kengeja Vocational Secondary School, South Pemba Regional District to refuse to commit or be subjected to humiliating acts that have the effect of removing the status and value of the person who is subjected to such acts.

This was said during the education against acts of humiliation and violence against women and children by Assistant Police Inspector Habiba Ali Said, head of the Gender and Children Desk, who is also the head of the Women’s Police Network in South Pemba Region. “Men have many ways of deceiving a woman to make her want what they want, to avoid them and to reject them,” said Inspector Habiba.

International Women's DayShe said to commemorate International Women’s Day, the Women’s Police Network TPF NET South Pemba Region has seen the need to visit Kengeja Secondary School students and give them this education so that they can recognise the whole concept of the effects of humiliation so that they can avoid being subjected to it and instead focus more on studying for the good interest of themselves and their nation.

In addition, the head of the women’s police network TPF NET South Pemba Region said that the network, apart from other police work, is directly involved in solving women’s challenges as well as in the fight against cases of humiliation. In addition to providing training, the Network presented the students with feminine towels.
