The Minister of Construction, Innocent Bashungwa, has assured the Parliament’s Standing Committee on Infrastructure that the government will oversee the renovation and improvement of Tabora Airport, with completion scheduled for October 2024.
During the visit of the Committee to review the progress of the project in Tabora region on March 13, 2024, Bashungwa emphasized that the Ministry, through the Road Agency (TANROADS), will ensure that the contractor, Beijing Construction Engineering Group (BCEG), works day and night to complete the work with high quality.
“Mr. Chairman and Members of the Committee, I want to inform you that we will be supervising the contractor who handed over the project to us in October last year due to some challenges that have arisen in the project,” said Bashungwa.
