    • Jacqueline Uhwelo, the head of the Gender and Children Desk in the Monduli district of the Arusha region, has advised parents to apply the same educational approach to boys as they do to girls in order to combat violence. This advice was given earlier today at a meeting of parents of students held at Olkeswa Secondary School in Monduli district. The head of the Dawati office noted that there has been a tendency for some parents to view female children as more vulnerable to acts of violence, while failing to acknowledge the vulnerabilities of male children. She advised the head of the Gender and Children's Desk.
